We are so excited to welcome you and your furry family members to the Hampton Inn – Savannah Historic District as of April 1st, 2022 (no joke)! To celebrate and get you ready, we thought we’d share a few fun pet-friendly suggestions for your future stay.
When exploring the Historic District you don’t have to look too hard if you and your 4 legged pal(s) need a bite to eat or something to drink. Many restaurants and bars offer outdoor or patio dining, and some even have an extended menu for dogs. Places like The Pink House, Treylor Park, Blends a Coffee Boutique, Leopold’s Ice Cream, and Moon River Brewing Company are a few that are right around the corner from our doors.

Pet-Friendly Tours with Old Savannah Tours
Speaking of exploring, why not have a guide? Talk to our on-site concierge about taking a tour with Old Savannah Tours and see 270 years of history come alive with a 90-Minute or Hop-On/Hop-off trolley tour. Your non-human companion just needs to be less than 25 pounds and able to sit and enjoy the tour along with the other guests onboard.
You could also sniff tour the city on foot with Oliver Bentley’s Dog Walking Tour. This is a 90-minute guided walking tour through the Historic District of Savannah designed for you and your pack! Along the way, you’ll learn about Savannah’s rich history – and all the dog-friendly activities our city has to offer!
While adventuring, please help keep Savannah beautiful for everyone and remember to clean up after your four-legged friend(s). In most of Savannah’s Historic Green Spaces, you’ll find pet waste receptacles embedded in the ground with green lids and a white dog icon on top. There’s even one in Reynolds Square just steps away from our doors.
For the safety of your pet and others, The City of Savannah’s Leash Law requires that all pets be leashed when visiting City parks, squares, businesses, and residential areas.
