Last week we had the pleasure of touring Savannah’s newest craft brewery and 2014’s business “Newcomer of the Year”, Service Brewing Company. Veteran owned and operated in downtown Savannah, the team is dedicated to honoring those who have put their lives at risk in order to put community and country first.

Located on Indian St., Service Brewing Co. has two year-round brews and three limited release seasonal options. The Ground Pounder is said to be “like a good solider, first and foremost loyal to its country: an American Pale Ale through and through”. Looking for a fun place to hang out? The brewery has a wonderful tasting room open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It’s a great place to gather and get to know the brewery by sampling small batches of experimental ales and lagers. And it doesn’t end there! The local brewer has taken advantage of Savannah’s legendary artistry by engaging 22 local artists to create patriotic themed tap handles.

Quite frankly, they brew darn good beer. The taste is great and the meaning behind each can is even better.
