Every first Friday of the month, Art Rise Savannah presents the award winning First Friday Art March, a self-guided tour of galleries, boutiques, restaurants, and art spaces in and around the Starland District.
You can also enjoy an open air vendor market with live entertainment. Plus Art March doesn’t mean you have to march to the galleries. You can gallery hop with free access to rides on the Old Savannah Tours Trolley.

Savannah’s finest and funniest monthly show mixes improv games, improv scenes and stories into a seamless, spontaneous and unscripted theatrical experience. Front Porch Improv is produced and homegrown by Savannah’s Improv Company (SiC). The ensemble are graduates of Chicago’s I.O. (Improv Olympic), The Second City, The Groundlings, New York City’s Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and Charleston’s Theatre 99.
The professional improv cast incorporates audience ideas and suggestions throughout the show: from the ridiculous to the hilarious. The ensemble emphasizes comedic acting, grounded characters and believable relationships very much like a play, but without a script.
You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll laugh at other people crying. Special guests The Don (Knotts), from Charleston, are all about offers. What exactly do they offer you? The opportunity to laugh so hard that your face falls off. The opportunity to feel so many feels that you no longer even know how to feel. The opportunity to see characters so larger than life that you question your own existence.
Seriously, this show might get so existential that it’d make Kafka blush. Trust us, this is an offer you won’t want to refuse!
$15 tickets at the door | Reservations are appreciated via FrontPorchImprov.com
The First Tuesday Tour series gives an overview of the history and art of Savannah’s historic City Hall. The tour begins at noon, in the City Hall Rotunda, and lasts less than an hour. The tour is free, but space is limited and reservation are required.
